Mike Moto began his comedy career in Berkeley. His first paying job was house comic at the Mabuhay Gardens, a combination Philipino restaurant and hardcore punk rock club. Every night, green-mohawked people would scream for his death, until his comedy prevailed.

Mike became one of Boston's top comics when he moved to the East Coast, and worked as a regular at The Improv, and The Comic Strip in New York. He has also showcased in two college entertainment conventions (NACA), thus becoming a favorite on the New England college circuit.

Since moving back to San Francisco, Mike is rapidly regaining recognition as one of the city's top comics. He continues to maintain his contacts in Boston in addition to headlining comedy clubs across the Northwest, Midwest, and most recently, Southeast.
